Chapter 81 Speedrun
Chapter 81 Speedrun
Guan Zeyuan stared at the equipment slots on both sides, his brows furrowing. "What's going on with both sides getting Kraken? Is Jayce going to get Kraken too?"
Mao Mao looked equally bewildered. "I don't understand either. Wouldn't it be better for him to build armor penetration items given his advantage?"
"If that's the case, it seems like Lucian might be able to turn things around," Guan Zeyuan asserted.
[I can understand if the Hail of Blades Jayce caught us off guard and gained a slight advantage, but what kind of monster is Siren Jayce?]
Impersonating a professional player
Watch what you eat!
[Shut up, Lucian is totally outmatched, Jayce is just messing around.]
Upon logging back in, Mu Chun opened the panel and saw that Lucian had also acquired the Kraken, but both Doran's Blades were gone.
It looks like they sold their equipment to raise the money to buy the Siren.
After clearing the line, he lay in ambush in the grass.
JiaQi watched Jayce enter the bushes and noticed his gear. "Why is he dressed as a Siren too?"
No sooner had he finished speaking than Tangyuan appeared behind him, "Really? Siren Jess, aren't you going to flip it?"
When he saw the screen, he exclaimed in surprise, "Holy crap, it's really Jessie!"
After clearing the minion wave, Lucian peeked around the edge of the bushes, looking for an opportunity.
Mu Chun didn't hold back either, unleashing his EQ combo with a vertical cannon shot that landed squarely on Lucian.
Guan Zeyuan watched as the shot hit Lucian, but the damage was minimal. His tone became even more certain: "It's over, it's absolutely over. Jayce's shot did absolutely no damage."
Mao Mao nodded in agreement, "That's true. It feels like Jayce still needs to go for a burst of armor penetration shots. If he does that, Lucian can just slide in and unleash a combo and he'll be dead."
[If you don't retaliate, I'll eat my words!]
[I don't understand. This guy is getting weirder and weirder. He doesn't farm lanes and camps in bushes, letting his teammates fight 4v5. Now he's playing Kraken Jayce.]
Perhaps he can't forget those melancholy eyes in the grass.
"He's not hurt, don't be afraid, just attack." Tangyuan said from behind JiaQi.
His teammates were also urging him to be aggressive.
For a moment, he forgot about Jayce's equipment and runes, and manipulated Lucian's E to dash forward.
Wow... You're so brave! Forgetting about your opponent's equipment is a cardinal sin in warfare!
Mu Chun's lips curled up slightly. Jayce aimed at Lucian, triggering Hail of Blades, and then fired two shots at Siren.
Lucian was not to be outdone, dealing some damage before unleashing his W.
But Jayce was faster. He activated W and fired three shots, triggering the Siren ability again and bringing Jayce down to low health.
Just as Lucian was about to make his next shot,
Mu Chun activated the barrier, negating the siren's damage. He then applied Ignite and switched to Hammer form to increase his dual resistances.
The remaining barrier negated part of the damage from Lucian's Q.
The increased resistances also reduce the damage from Lucian's subsequent attacks and Siren.
JiaQi then noticed Lucian's health. He wanted to run and instinctively tried to use Flash.
But then he remembered that he hadn't brought Flash, and all the skills he used in a one-on-one fight were Ignite and Barrier, and he had just used his only mobility skill to attack!
Jayce still leaped up, using his hammer form to unleash his Q at Lucian.
Lucian activated his barrier to block some of the damage, but was still slowed down.
Jayce's hammer fell, leaving Lucian with a sliver of health.
Finally, with his E skill, Lucian was killed with a single hammer strike.
Instantly, all the defensive towers and Jayce were stunned, and the game ended.
"Lanlan," Daeny said to the referee behind her without any hesitation.
Guan Zeyuan couldn't help but sigh, "This Kraken Jayce's damage is really hard to understand. He can deal damage to two Krakens in a short period of time. That's quite something."
Mao Mao nodded, "That's true, but Siren Jess really did catch us off guard. After all, nobody plays like that. This way of playing is more entertaining."
[Jayce with Conqueror's Blade was right, and Jayce with Siren's Blade was right too.]
I said Jessie was right, and you guys said I, Old Feng, was out of touch.
[Are the strong ones the Siren Jayce and Chunfeng? The strong one is Guan, right? He said he could turn the tide!]
As the draft phase began, X1ri's gaze fell upon the IG players' bench.
Mu Chun was smiling and communicating with his teammates. The light from the screen illuminated his profile, and he looked very relaxed, as if he had just finished something effortless.
X1ri looked longingly at Mu Chun, then glanced at JiaQi in front of him, and shook his head and sighed helplessly.
I thought JiaQi would be the best AD in his coaching career, but I didn't expect that someone better would be rejected by him because of one question.
Tangyuan's shout rang out, "Coach, why are you banning that?!"
X1ri then realized what was happening and, seeing that there wasn't much time left, casually selected a card.
……
"Congratulations to IG for defeating RNG 3-0, bringing a perfect end to their last match before the New Year." Guan Zeyuan's congratulatory voice echoed in the stadium.
Mao Mao chimed in, "Congratulations to IG! It seems like IG won all three games very easily."
Guan Zeyuan nodded, "Indeed, it feels like IG can beat anyone as long as Chunfeng doesn't mess things up."
Mao Mao nodded in agreement, "His Cassiopeia and Jayce in the first two games completely suppressed JiaQi, making him afraid to farm in lane. It seemed like he switched to the mid lane to farm after five or six minutes."
"The team fights that followed were completely one-sided, and RNG couldn't fight back."
Guan Zeyuan continued, "The third game was a bit more complicated, but RNG couldn't contain Azir's output at all. They had a huge advantage in the early game, and Xiaoxu even got a solo kill on TheShy."
"But the Tsar's positioning was too good, and RNG couldn't withstand the damage. Also, after JiaQi lost his solo match today, he seemed out of sorts, getting pressured in three games in a row."
He paused, seemingly still wanting more, "But it's a bit of a shame that Twisted Fate was banned three times in a row today. I really wanted to see how he farmed gold so fast."
"It's just that not many people discuss this point, especially his match against NIP, where he racked up points incredibly fast."
"So in the end, I'll still give the MVP of this game to the Tsar."
Mao Mao then spoke up, "I'm also giving this to the Tsar."
[With three MVPs in a row, it feels like the LPL has it.]
[In the most promising year, meeting you, Uncle Egg, made me behave myself.]
[For those who think there's still hope, I suggest replaying your third game against NIP.]
[Congratulations, host, on achieving a best-of-five (BO5) victory in the official competition. Random hero proficiency is being awarded as a reward...]
[Congratulations, host! You have achieved full proficiency with Zoe, the Twilight Protoss.]
Mu Chun was tidying up the peripherals when the system notification appeared again.
Zoe's proficiency flooded her mind.
He didn't feel anything unusual, but he felt that pulling the flying star now seemed to be very accurate.
After packing up their belongings, they went off the stage together with their teammates.
"Am I, the Tsar, awesome or not?"
Rookie joked, then prepared for the post-match interview, "I feel like you should switch to mid lane."
X1ri watched the IG members pass by him, listening to their cheerful laughter, his gaze fixed on Mu Chun.
He was supposed to be one of my players. His performance as Azir today was something I should have brought out under my guidance. The last Azir in the LPL should have been trained by me!
It's all because of that stupid question! Why did I have to ask? Why didn't I just let him play one game first?
He steeled himself, raised his hand to his face, gritted his teeth, and slapped it down, but he held back and only gently touched it.
I had just returned to the lounge to review the situation when the door was pushed open.
Manager Wang walked in, holding red envelopes in his hand. "Here are red envelopes for you all."
As he spoke, he handed each of them a red envelope.
Upon receiving the red envelope, Mu Chun was taken aback. Do capitalists change their tune so quickly?
Just a few days ago they were threatening me, saying they'd retire if they lost, and today they're all smiles and sending me red envelopes?!
After sending the message, he coughed lightly. "By the way, the prize money for the Demacia Cup has been deposited into your accounts."
"After the club and coaching teams are divided, the five of you will each receive 60,000. If you plan to stay at the club during the Chinese New Year, please let us know in advance."
Mu Chun was about to suggest staying at the club when his phone vibrated.
He picked up his phone and saw that the contact name was "Mom".
Xiaochun, are you coming home for Chinese New Year this year?
