Chapter 219: Nicking A Celestial
Chapter 219: Nicking A Celestial
State of Harmony–Foundational Dismantle!
As Prana gathered in his arm, Torq readied the attack, glaring at the peacock that seemed to be seated casually, as if not putting his attack in mind. ’You think I cannot threaten you? Take this!’
"Son...?" Came a worried shout from behind, causing Torq to hesitate for a moment, during which he noticed the peacock had disappeared, ’Am I hallucinating?’
’Dammit! It felt real!’ He stared at a portion of the skin on his biceps, which was prickling now. Meaning, it had sensed the peacock, which was why Torq readied the attack in the first place.
’Where is he?’ He hurriedly looked around in a fluster, noticing MyuraBuntara standing nearby. Promptly, he leapt to stand guard around her while looking around, firing off a series of Prana detection means in an effort to scour through his surroundings, "It’s not safe here, mother!"
"That bastard is nearby!" He said, cursing upon seeing his mother grab hold of him, "What the heck are you..."
"You need to undergo treatment!" MyuraBuntara roared, "A massive level of influence is plaguing you. If you’re not treated on time, you’ll even mutate into a grotesque creature!"
"My treatment can wait," Torq spoke in panic as his presence continued to climb in magnitude, growing more and more sharper as time passed.
"STOP!" MyuraBuntara shouted and held his hand, watching her getting dragged along a tug of his arm, unable to offer much resistance, ’This won’t do!’
Nature–Shredded Lunge!
She leapt back, intending to use the power of Shredded Lungs to pull Torq towards the treatment berth and strap him there. She had even controlled the Nature’s effects to aim the wind blade at Torq’s heel, ensuring he won’t have the strength to pull away.
However, the moment she made the leap, all the momentum was transferred to her internal organs, causing her to cough up blood. For, she couldn’t make Torq budge in the slightest, ’He’s...heavy!’
’No, he’s not heavy.’ Only then did she realise that Torq’s radiating presence had severed through multiple blood vessels in her body, obstructing the Prana flow to the extent that the Nature of Shredded Lunge had been faultily activated.
Without enough Prana supply, a Nature cannot be activated. However, Torq’s presence had suppressed the Nature’s natural state to the extent it was forced to activate even with a lacking Prana supply.
It was as if its existence had adapted to a change in environment, where the means for survival is a faulty activation.
’How is this possible?’ MyuraBuntara was stunned, ’No Gold Grade existence should be able to suppress a Nature to this extent.’
’Only our Ancestor was said to be able to do this, but that was only against Mammoth Clansmen.’ She grew in worry as she eyed her son, who for some reason, stared back at her, as if unable to recognise her.
And suddenly, a chill crept into her heart upon seeing his gaze morph, akin to seeing an enemy.
’You’re here! Fucking bastard!’ Torq cursed upon seeing the peacock sprout humanoid arms and grab him, seeking to pull him away, ’I’ll kill you this time.’
He raised his hand and charged up an attack, intending to unleash it before the peacock could escape, unaware he was targeting his own mother.
"GaraBuntara...My...son...?" MyuraBuntara felt fear, experiencing both sadness and a sense of loss upon seeing the influence seething through Torq was rapidly influencing him into becoming something else.
His appearance had already morphed enough that even she was struggling to recognise him anymore.
"In that state, he probably cannot hear you." As Torq’s attack descended, a hand grabbed hold of him, without budging even a little, robustly tanking the Physical Cleave at a potent level of power.
"Don’t worry, my descendant." It was Brangara, having extended an index finger to stop Torq’s attack as he addressed MyuraBuntara, "I’ll bring your son back to normal."
"Can you recognise me?" Brangara stood before Torq, slightly eyeing down the latter, "Guess you can’t."
"Then," He revealed a smirk, "I’m the one you want to attack. Go ahead."
"Give me your best shot!"
Primary Nature–Physical Cleave!
Prana surged through his hands, serving as a blade along the underside of his hands as Torq made a sweeping motion, intending to hack Brangara’s body. He was met with the latter’s index finger.
’The feathery bastard’s not dead!’ Torq roared and unleashed another attack, failing to draw any blood. Incensed, he unleashed a series of attacks.
Boom!
Violent waves of winds erupted from their exchange as Brangara calmly moved his index finger in the way of Torq’s attack, watching one violent blow after another land upon the contact point, ’This is what you have created, huh?’
’An impressive attack. But...is that it?’ He wondered, ’If such a straight-forward attack could work on the enemy, we would have already won.’
’I could have just used Astral Puncture and called it a day.’ He thought while defending against the relentless attacks.
Astral Puncture, in essence, could be termed as Sumatra Continent’s most powerful State of Harmony. In essence, it was created to breach through the Celestial Boar’s absolute defence.
Secondary Nature–Mental Eddy!
Upon seeing that Physical Cleave wasn’t working well, Torq switched to using Mental Eddy, immediately upon which he noticed some differences.
The peacock bastard in his vision, now had a gash running along its body’s centre. And visible through it was his Ancestor’s face, ’Huh? How?’
’Wait a fucking moment!’ He hurriedly used a Mental Eddy upon himself, feeling his vision clear up a bit more, ’I’m getting treated! How did I forget about that?’
Just as he was about to use a few more Mental Eddy upon himself to get a sense of clarity, Brangara’s voice interjected his thought process.
"Don’t suppress yourself. Just focus on venting everything."
"Yes," Since the Celestial Boar himself had given the go ahead, Torq gave in to his influence, ’If he’s here, I don’t have to worry about collateral damage.’
Not for an instant did he ever think he could wound the other party. As he faced in his dream, he wasn’t even close to such a level. ’However, I want to better measure the gap between us myself.’
With that in mind, Torq rapidly switched up his attacks, thinking of killing the feathery bastard ’Die! Die! Die!’
For the next few minutes, he kept up the attacks, until his arms grew too heavy to continue any more. Slowly, as his Prana grew sluggish, he stopped, not having the capacity to unleash another attack.
However, the influence plaguing him had grown more streamlined. It was still present in him, in all its torrent’s worth. However, he now had the means to at least differentiate reality from hallucinations brought about by the influence.
That much was enough.
"Meet me in a few fours. I have something for you." Saying so, Brangara disappeared, landing on the head of the Empyrean Tusk to stare at his index finger, on which there was a gash, which was slowing healing. ’To think his methods are good enough to wound me. Moreover,’
’Seven seconds...It even takes me a good seven seconds to heal the gash.’ As he observed, Brangara revealed a slight smile, ’There is some potential in his strength.’
’Next, I need to check his methods. Just how vile can he get?’
