Chapter 1120 - 455: In Progress_2

"Let’s go in."Alka said as he and Pororo entered the Round Tower, each finding a spot to sit down and rest.

"Get some good rest, those damned demons might attack the city again tonight," Alka said, looking at the empty room.

He slumped deeply against the chair back.

Pororo just nodded slightly, then leaned against the bedboard and fell asleep just like that.

Hearing Pororo’s snores, Alka didn’t disturb him, leaned back in the chair, and closed his eyes after a while.

Too tired.

Wake up to fight demons, fight demons until exhausted, then continue to sleep.

Eating is just interspersed within, sometimes there’s not even time to eat.

The number of these demons seems to have no end, endless.

Just the various soldiers of the fortress have been replaced countless times.

When Alka opened his eyes.

Seeing it was already dark outside, he immediately woke up. The sleepiness vanished in an instant.

"Don’t worry, the demons didn’t attack again tonight, you can take a good rest now."

Julia was sitting by the door, quietly resting.

"Julia? When did you come back?"

Due to the needs of the battlefield, people like Julia who are considered technical talents, are naturally assigned to places very suitable for them.

But Julia was taken away by the Life Seed Church, and it seemed Julia wanted to settle some matters.

"Have you returned to the embrace of life?" Alka asked while looking at her.

Julia nodded: "Hmm... I’ve seen too much during my time here. The previous me was too impulsive; everyone, even the Divine, strives in the direction they believe in.

Though the methods and paths are different, the goals are the same."

Hearing this, Alka smiled, nodded, and didn’t say much more.

Then Alka saw many Puppet Girls resting everywhere.

On the table, on the bench, on the sack of grain not far away, on the pillow on the bed, they were everywhere.

They had worn themselves out.

Looking at these Puppet Girls, a now mostly rested Alka helplessly stood up, and carried the ones not on beds to the beds from the table and everywhere else they were.

"Ah, it’s dark, I overslept!"

Pororo with a loud bang, jumped down from the second floor.

The loud noise startled the already sleepy Puppet Girls, who all jumped up.

"What’s happening? Did the demons break in?"

"Take down the demons!"

Seeing the room suddenly in chaos, Alka helplessly patted his forehead.

"Alright, calm down, those who need to rest should rest, the demons can’t get in, tonight is a rare chance to rest."

Hearing Alka’s words, the drowsy Puppet Girls all fell back down and quickly drifted into slumber.

And Pororo realized he seemingly made a foolish mistake, scratched his head.

"Aren’t you going to rest a bit more?"

Hearing this, Pororo turned his head and waved his hand.

"I’m going to check on Matilda."

So saying, he hunched his back, ready to push the door open and leave.

As soon as he opened the door, he saw Marisha smiling, swaying her tail as she came in.

"No need, I’m already back."

Though Marisha smiled, you could feel the exhaustion emanating from her whole being.

She first hugged Pororo, then saw Julia.

"Julia? You’ve returned."

Walked over and hugged the smiling Julia.

"You’re tired, you need a good rest," Julia said, hugging Marisha.

"But you did well, I heard the name of the Four-armed Angel even within the Seed of Life.

Those people admire you greatly."

Hearing Julia’s teasing, Marisha gave a weak smile.

Alka walked over, reached out and tapped the back of Marisha’s head.

"Compared to all this, you should just get a good sleep."

Pink mist enveloped Marisha’s eyes, and just like that, Marisha collapsed into deep sleep in Julia’s arms.

Julia nodded, holding Marisha, took her upstairs and placed her on a bed.

Alka had just sat in a place, turned his head.

And saw a head suddenly pop out of the wall.

"Ha!"

"!"

Alka was startled for an instant, then saw it was Lucilia’s head.

Lucilia had turned into a Spiritual Body, passing through and laughing heartily at the startled Alka.

Seeing Lucilia laughing heartily, Alka helplessly sat back down.

"Aren’t you tired?"

"I’m a Divinity creature now, not tired at all," Lucilia said with a bright smile, transforming into a doll and landing in Alka’s arms.

"Ah, Julia you’re back," Lucilia said in surprise as she looked at Julia coming down the stairs.

After a few exchanges, Lucilia turned to Alka and said: "Today on the battlefield I saw a Demon Hunter with a moon mark on his neck."

Hearing this, Alka turned to look at her.

"Remember the temple ruins? There was a mural. The little figure painted on it had a moon mark on its neck."

Hearing this, Alka squinted his eyes: "Are you saying that those we said might still be alive from the Moon Worship Sect, became Demon Hunters?"

"Thinking this way, it’s quite possible, isn’t it?" Lucilia said and began to explain.

"The family that grew up together in the temple was killed by demons. No matter who survived, they must hate the demons, don’t they."
