Chapter 1866 - 1863: Blurred Images
Chapter 1866 - 1863: Blurred Images
After the sound faded, Lin Tian felt as if a ripple passed through his mind, all his thoughts seemed to vanish, and then his body grew light, a feeling of weightlessness appeared, as if both his body and soul were falling.
When the descent stopped, Lin Tian felt like he had entered a void. The void was incredibly silent, yet it wasn’t frightening; instead, it brought a sense of inner peace, like lying in bed at night, everything felt so tranquil.
Suddenly, Lin Tian felt the whole world shake. He quickly opened his eyes, and in that instant, the surrounding void disappeared, the silence was broken, with the sounds of chatter and laughter gradually entering his ears.
Then, Lin Tian discovered he was being held in someone’s arms. Am I a baby? Lin Tian realized this fact. Yes, he found himself truly returned to infancy.
Lin Tian managed to retain a bit of clarity, straining to keep his eyes wide open, trying to see who was holding him. But no matter how hard he tried, he still couldn’t see the features clearly.
Suddenly, he remembered what his biology teacher had said in class, that the world an infant sees is different from what adults see. A week after birth, they can’t see things, only lights and shadows.
After a month, they can see blurry black-and-white images. After two months, they can see the first color, red. After three months, their vision begins to clear, the angle of view increases, they can see their own hands, and feel the existence of "self."
After that, the range of vision extends further and gradually becomes clearer, and the number of identifiable colors increases. From this, Lin Tian estimated that he was no more than three months old at that time.
Lin Tian could only discern from the silhouette that the person before him had long hair, presumably a woman. Whether she was a nurse or a relative, he couldn’t tell.
However, looking at her outline, an image flashed through Lin Tian’s mind. It was the portrait of a woman drawn by Qiao Xiaoyi, or rather by Ksitigarbha; the two images overlapped perfectly!
Additionally, Lin Tian caught a faint scent, which felt familiar and comforting. They say babies have a keen sense of smell, and it’s absolutely true.
The woman gently rocked him, seemingly trying to lull him to sleep. Lin Tian felt a wave of drowsiness wash over him, and his consciousness blurred again, plunging him into sleep.
In the depths of slumber, there was a sudden chime, and Lin Tian awoke with a start. When he opened his eyes again, he saw the face of Xiao Manxuan. The little girl was staring wide-eyed, traces of worry in her clear eyes.
Seeing Lin Tian awake, Xiao Manxuan instantly broke into a joyful smile, "You’re finally awake..."
Looking at the little girl’s bright smile, Lin Tian also smiled, a sincere smile.
"Lin Tian, you almost scared us to death. We tried for a long time just now, but you wouldn’t wake up," Mu Binglan said with concern, finally breathing a sigh of relief once she finished speaking.
Lin Tian looked at Qiao Xiaoyi and asked, "Xiaoyi, how long was I asleep?"
Before Qiao Xiaoyi could answer, Melissa had already said, "Half an hour. You really gave us a scare. I’ve never encountered a situation like yours before. If you hadn’t woken up, I wouldn’t have been able to explain."
"Explain? Explain to whom?" Lin Tian was taken aback, sensing something unusual in Melissa’s words.
Melissa’s eyes flickered, then she said naturally, "I wouldn’t have been able to explain to your teachers."
Lin Tian didn’t notice and laughed, "It’s nothing, I just slept for half an hour and disrupted your lecture."
"Don’t worry, I already had my assistant take over. There wasn’t anything important left anyway. I hope this hypnosis session was helpful to you," Melissa said casually.
Helpful to me? Lin Tian raised an eyebrow, questioning why this female professor spoke this way.
Before he could think further, the sound of chatter came from outside the car. Looking out through the window, you could see a large number of students coming out of the auditorium, indicating that the lecture had ended.
A woman pushed open the car door and came up; she was the one who had led Lin Tian and the others here earlier. She nodded in greeting to Lin Tian and the others, then turned to Melissa, "Professor Melissa, the lecture is over. The school has invited us to stay an extra night and prepared a luncheon for us tomorrow noon."
"Inform the school we’ve received their kind offer, but there’s no need for the luncheon. We’ll be leaving tonight," Professor Melissa instructed. The woman nodded in understanding and then left the compartment.
Lin Tian also took his leave, "Professor Melissa, thank you for having us, but we should get going. Goodbye."
"Goodbye, and feel free to visit England again," Professor Melissa said with a warm smile.
After bidding farewell to Melissa, Lin Tian and the others left the compartment. Once they were gone, Melissa pressed a button, sealing the doors and windows, leaving her alone inside the RV.
She pressed another button, and a large screen rose in the compartment. The screen lit up and began a video call. On the screen appeared a woman of elegant nobility, yet with a devilishly enchanting beauty, with flawless white skin, blue eyes, and long golden hair.
The woman was lying leisurely on a sofa, wearing a thin silk nightgown. Due to her relaxed posture, the gown’s front was wide open, revealing a deep, white valley on her chest. The hem of the gown had slipped to her thighs, exposing her long, fair legs entirely; even her bare feet were remarkably bright and smooth.
Any man seeing this captivating figure would be enraptured. If Lin Tian were here, his eyes would certainly widen, not just because of her beauty, but also because of the woman’s identity.
"Prince Charlotte, Lin Tian has already left," Melissa reported to the woman on the screen, addressing her with such formality.
If Lin Tian were still in the car, he would undoubtedly recognize this woman of elegance and allure, nobility and temptation alike, as none other than Princess Charlotte!
"Is the master okay?" Charlotte addressed Lin Tian as ’master’ before Melissa, without the slightest embarrassment. She was such a woman—fearless, loving and hating boldly.
Melissa’s eyes flickered with a strange light but dared not smile, only saying, "He’s fine, but... there seems to be a woman beside him with whom he has a good relationship."
"What do you mean a woman? That’s the Xiao Family girl, a beauty in the making, always inseparable from the master. As the strongest, the world’s most beautiful women should belong to the master."
If Lin Tian were here, he’d surely give a hundred thumbs up to that statement. A harem of three thousand beauties is every man’s dream, and he shares that dream, though at this stage it’s merely a dream.
"However, I’m puzzled. The Xiao Family girl is always with the master, but I can tell she’s still a virgin," Charlotte remarked curiously.
"From a psychological perspective, it means a man loves a woman and respects her, which is why," Melissa explained.
"Although I’ve lived longer than you, I’m not as versed in human psychology," Charlotte chuckled.
Melissa paused in silence, then curiously asked, "Prince Charlotte, you’ve always been disdainful of men. Why are you..."
